An encrypted file containing employee user names and passwords was downloaded today by an unknown individual. No student information was compromised. There is also no evidence that any employee information has been compromised, but we recommend that all employees change their passwords on all of our public facing websites as a security precaution. Our public facing websites include iVisions, PowerSchool, and Gmail. I have included instructions to change your password on these websites below. We also recommend that you have a different and more secure password for iVisions because it does contain your personal information. We recommend that all employees follow these instructions to change their passwords as soon as possible.
For added security, you should never give your personal passwords to anyone including technology personnel. To help prevent a security breach like this in the future, we will no longer be tracking your passwords. We will have the ability to reset your password in the event that it is lost.
We also recommend changing your password on any other websites that you have the same username and password on such as State Websites, Facebook, Twitter, Your Bank, etc...
